We are Duluth locals who have a passion for Duluth, Minnesota! We aim to celebrate the small businesses in Duluth that make this city such a great place to work, visit and raise a family.

We are a grassroots movement that wants consumers to think local first, and by doing so, positively impact the place we call home. When you buy products and services from independent and locally-owned businesses, you’re supporting the Duluth economy.

We love to meet local business owners, hear their startup story, and find out why they decided to open up shop in Duluth, Minnesota. We wanted to share what we learned, so we partnered with Mad Chicken Studio to photograph entrepreneurs at local businesses around town. We ask local business owners about their experience, doing business in Duluth, and their own favorite Duluth gems. Duluth is well known for being the best outdoor city, the North Coast squarely anchored on the tip of Lake Superior. We do have a lot to offer, with beautiful lake views on the Lakewalk, the iconic Aerial Lift Bridge, and beautiful Skyline Parkway.

We want Duluthians and visitors to know about our local businesses in Duluth. Locally owned and operated businesses are an important part of our community. They are also what make Duluth unique, and the small businesses here offer some of Minnesota’s most sought-after goods and services.

Every dollar spent at a locally owned and operated business returns back into our economy three times more than a dollar spent at a chain business. Not only is shopping local good for our economy, it is good for our community! Local businesses are more likely to donate to our local charities and help out with local sports teams – they are more invested in our community.
