Bio: I’m originally from the Iron Range but lived elsewhere for many years (St. Cloud; Eugene, OR; Charlottesville, VA; Ghent, Belgium). I always wanted to live in Duluth, mostly because of the lake and also to be closer to family. I moved here in 2014 and work as a freelance writer. Favorite place to eat: It’s hard to narrow it down, but the Duluth Grill is a favorite as are Northern Waters Smokehaus and Va Bene.
Favorite place to shop: I’m not a big shopper but I appreciate smaller businesses like those in the DeWitt Seitz Marketplace or Fitger’s Complex.
Favorite Duluth activity: Walking on the lakewalk, visiting the various breweries to sample delicious craft beer, and going out to enjoy the fabulous local music scene.
Favorite time of day to shoot: Afternoon and sunset (not a morning person).
Favorite season in Duluth: Summer and the precious weeks where the lake is swimmable.
