Another Galentine’s Day in the books!
We had a great time with over 40 female local business owners at Bailey Builds‘ shop in Spirit Valley!
This year we are partnered with Safe Haven! They were present at Galentine’s Day to share all the amazing work they do for women in our community, and spent time with us to help brainstorm ideas for ways we can help throughout the year.
We had delicious pastries and coffee from Lake Superior Bakehouse, letter donuts from Johnson’s Bakery, Kombucha from Snooty Fox, balloons from Duluth Balloon Co, a photo wall and other decorations from Hucklebeary, flowers from Duluth Flower Farm and snack trays from SuperOne Foods.
Duluth Flower Farm brought arrangements for us to purchase for ourselves or for Safe Haven at a discounted rate. By the end of brunch, 14 arrangements had been purchased for Safe Haven. It was an amazing gift from our community to make, and we were happy to deliver them Monday morning.
We setup casual round-tables hosted by Bailey Builds, Bella Flora, JaneCane Photography and Safe Haven to facilitate conversation. The topics ranged from startups and workflow to growth and community involvement. It was great to hear from business owners in different industries and years in business. Everyone had something to share and the lively conversations carried on for over an hour.
Each ticket sale included a donation to Safe Haven AND a mossy triangle from Anna Bailey of Bailey Builds! To learn more about Safe Haven and how you can help click here.
Amanda of JaneCane Photography took all of these amazing photos of the event and we are so thankful because we were too busy having fun to take any photos!
