2016 was a great year for local business in Duluth and we had a blast hosting our first Galentine’s Day and Duluth Winter Village at Glensheen! We love seeing how you shop local when you use #duluthloveslocal on your local pictures! Every dollar you spend at a local shop is important to that local owner. Those owners are our friends and neighbors – together we can create an awesome Duluth!
It has been so much fun for us to meet the women behind some of our favorite businesses. To celebrate these women we hosted our second annual Galentine’s Day Brunch on February 12th at Duluth Screen Printing Co.
The food was delicious – Nicoise salad from Va Bene Caffe, fresh fruit and veggies, giant cheese plate, letter donuts from Johnson’s Bakery, two adorable cakes from Lake Superior Bakehouse, mini cupcakes from Mount Royal Market, coffee from Duluth Coffee Co and a mimosa bar!
This year we collaborated with Duluth Screen Printing Co to design two women empowered shirt designs that screen printed during brunch. Ian let each of us pull our own tees and showed us the top secret techniques!
You can buy your own babes tee in our shop. We ran out of women inspiring women tees but if we have lots of interest we can print more (send us an email if you are interested hello{at}duluthloveslocal.com)!
We had a great time with the local businesswomen and look forward to future events!
