Lincoln Park Craft District Pop-Ups

The Lincoln Park Pop-Ups held a panel discussion with UMD’s Cultural Entrepreneur Program Students Tuesday, October 27th at OMC Smokehouse (Duluth Grill’s new location at 1909 W. Superior Street.

The event was a Pop-Up Launch with a Craft Business Owner Panel where we met Lincoln Park’s dynamic entrepreneurs that are working to promoting its Craft District. The participating businesses were Aerostich, Bent Paddle, Duluth’s Best Bread, Birchaus Market, Duluth Coffee, Duluth Grill, Frost River, Hemlocks Leatherworks,  Zenith Bread Project and Love Creamery.

The spirit of comradery between the local business owners was easy to spot when we walked into the upcoming location of OMC Smokehouse. Everyone on the panel had the vision and courage to go out on their own to start a new business. Some are one person operations (Hemlocks Leatherworks and Birchaus Market) and other have grown their operations and created new jobs in Lincoln Park, Duluth Grill (105 employees) and Bent Paddle (27 employees).
