We got together with Old Saw Media to create videos of some of our favorite local businesses. These local spotlight videos were created to show locals and tourists alike what makes each local business unique and special in Duluth, MN. Shopping local means supporting your friends and neighbors, and helps keep our money in the local economy, what’s better than that?
Our first spotlight is with Sir Benedict’s Tavern on the Lake, located on Superior Street. They have been around for 38 years and the new owners are passionate about creating a comfortable place to eat, drink, relax and listen to live music 7 days a week.

Favorite local business in Duluth and why: I like them all, and try to frequent as many as possible. Having a business is not easy, no matter what industry. Those that take the risk, work hard and do a good job deserve the attention from our locals.
Thoughts on Duluth economy: Our economy is improving, we need to continue to collaborate and share in success. We need to still work very hard to attract and retain young professionals and keep people in Duluth.
