Blacklist Taproom Opening Summer 2016 in Downtown Duluth
We are so excited…
Local artisan brewery, Blacklist, announced on Sunday it will be opening a taproom downtown. They expect to be open by Summer 2016 in the old Last Place on Earth space at 120 E Superior St. We’ve been patiently waiting during the Downtown area’s revival to see who will take on the vacant space where Last Place on Earth once resided.
John Beargrease Sled Dog Marathon
The 32nd annual John Beargrease Sled Dog Marathon started today at 11am at the gravel pit off Lake County Highway 2. The race was founded in 1980 and holds the title of the longest sled dog race in the lower 48 states.

Every city and town has an identity. Whether it be a brand, a slogan, or that one thing that makes it unlike anywhere else.
One characteristic that much of the Duluth community seems to identify with is: local. There is a big support system between local businesses and their patrons. Stores pay close attention to the needs of their customers, turning consumer-buyer relationships into something more.

The event was a Pop-Up Launch with a Craft Business Owner Panel where we met Lincoln Park’s dynamic entrepreneurs that are working to promoting its Craft District. The participating businesses were Aerostich, Bent Paddle, Duluth’s Best Bread, Birchaus Market, Duluth Coffee, Duluth Grill, Frost River, Hemlocks Leatherworks, Zenith Bread Project and Love Creamery.

One of our favorite things is meeting the people behind great local businesses! Saffron & Grey is a full-service florist that specializes in weddings, events and custom made arrangements that are sure to impress. We went with Mad Chicken Studio to Tavern on the Hill for a cozy happy hour by the fire pit and got to know Abby and Layla better.
